Privacy Policy - Eventish
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Eventish Professional Services ("Eventish") provides professional services for business events and meetings, and is based in Montréal, Québec. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We have written it in plain language so it is easy to understand.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to our website at eventish.ca and to the ways you interact with us through it, including our contact form, our scheduling and booking links, and emails you send to us. It does not cover other companies' websites or tools that we link to, which have their own policies.
Information we collect
We aim to collect only what we need.
Information you give us directly. When you contact us, complete a form, book a call, or email us, we may collect your name, email address, organization, role or title, phone number if you provide one, your language preference, the content of your message or booking notes, and any other information you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you visit eventish.ca, our analytics tools collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and basic interaction data. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.
Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of established providers to run our site and respond to you:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), to measure and understand website usage.
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Bookings (Microsoft Corporation), to receive and manage inquiries, emails, and appointments.
- Hostinger, to host and operate eventish.ca. Our hosting server is located in North America.
These providers process information on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. If we add other tools later, such as a customer relationship or email system, we will update this policy.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- respond to your inquiry, and prepare for and follow up on meetings,
- understand whether and how we can work together,
- provide and manage our professional services,
- keep accurate business records,
- maintain, secure, and improve our website,
- and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We use your information only for these purposes, or for purposes you have agreed to. We do not sell your personal information.
Confidential and sensitive information
Our website forms, booking notes, and general email are not secure channels for highly sensitive material. Please do not submit confidential, proprietary, procurement-related, or sensitive third-party information through them unless we have first agreed on an appropriate agreement or secure process.
Human-assisted tools
We may use software tools to help organize, summarize, and prepare materials. A person at Eventish remains responsible for the work we deliver to you. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing.
When we share information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, email, scheduling, and analytics; with professional advisors such as legal or accounting support when needed; or where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for unrelated marketing.
Information processed outside Québec
Some of the providers above, including Google, Microsoft, and Hostinger, may store or process information outside Québec, including elsewhere in North America and in other countries such as the United States. Where we entrust information to a provider outside Québec, we take reasonable steps to confirm it receives an adequate level of protection.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, to maintain our business and legal records, or for legitimate follow-up. After that, we delete or anonymize it. Website analytics data is currently retained for up to 14 months.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Privacy incidents
If a confidentiality incident occurs, we will assess it, take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of harm, keep a record as required, and notify affected individuals and the Commission d'accès à l'information where the law requires.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in Québec law, you may:
- ask to access the personal information we hold about you,
- ask us to correct it,
- withdraw your consent where it applies,
- ask us to stop disseminating information about you or to de-index it,
- ask us to delete it where we are able to,
- and ask for a copy of certain information in a structured technological format.
To make a request, contact the person named below. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
Electronic communications
If we send you any non-essential or promotional message, you can ask us to stop at any time, and we will. Where required, promotional electronic messages will include identification information and an unsubscribe mechanism. We may still send you messages that are necessary to respond to you or to provide a service you requested.
Cookies and analytics choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Where required, we use a cookie or analytics consent mechanism for non-essential cookies and analytics tools.
