ABOUT

We know the business of events.

Eventish was founded by Alan Mikhail in Montreal after more than 20 years working across the business events and meetings industry, including supplier-side entrepreneurship, institutional event technology and business solutions, and national event sales and development. Eventish was built from inside the industry to address recurring structural gaps in how business events and meetings are designed, sold, governed, and delivered.

Founder, Eventish

“We build the structure that turns business events and meetings into a renewable source of commercial development.”

Why we created this

Over two decades of work inside the business events and meetings industry revealed a consistent pattern: the same structural problems repeated across every segment and geography. Fragmented ecosystems, disconnected suppliers, no scalable way to connect local expertise to global demand.

These were not technology problems waiting for an app. They were structural problems: misalignments between public intentions and commercial realities, between the organizations that produce business events and the systems they use to collaborate.

What we have learned along the way

The Eventish model emerged by bringing together three large chapters of my career that allowed me to experience events from distinct operational and commercial perspectives:

Supplier-side entrepreneurship

Building and running a business that served the events industry from the ground up. Understanding what it means to create a product, price it, sell it, and deliver it.

Institutional event technology and business solutions

Working inside institutional structures (convention centres, tourism organizations) where technology, governance, and commercial logic intersect.

National event sales and development

Selling at the national and international level, understanding how destinations compete, how bids are structured, and how ecosystems succeed or fail together.

What Eventish is doing now

A professional services provider that helps organizations structure, accelerate, and commercialize their work in the business events and meetings ecosystem, using methods that are tested, auditable, and portable.

The name says it: event·ish. We are not event planners. We manage the commercial aspects that create successful events. We work with planners, clients, and suppliers alike to align partnerships and create new opportunities.
